PROVISION CLOSET

The Provision Closet is probably WNAC’s best-known ministry, providing household goods and supplies to missionaries at no cost. From one-suitcase of linens in 1962 to the present storehouse of over a million dollars’ net worth of goods, the Provision Closet stands as an amazing display of God’s good gifts and His peoples’ generosity.

All missionaries serving under FWB International or Home Missions are eligible to visit the Closet. Because certain household items are often unavailable or beyond budget, most missionaries visit before going to their particular fields of service. For international missionaries on stateside assignment, the Closet provides needed items for easier reentry and resettlement. The Closet is available anytime a missionary ascertains a household need. Suggested limits per family help equally distribute the gifts.

The Closet also provides for MKs. One section contains school supplies and books for missionary children. MKs attending college may also obtain linens and bedding for their dorm rooms. WNAC regularly sends complimentary phone cards to MKs in college.

Gifts to the closet are always welcome. However, certain guidelines help assure quality and usefulness. All items must be new, preferably still packaged. No clothing is accepted. To ensure proper receipting, please include donor information and an inventory with a suggested price list of all gifts.
