Women Nationally Active for Christ

Sadness and Joy
Jean McCraney

Today, while reflecting on our journey to Central Asia, I was reminded of the joy brought into my own heart when we visited the Mercy House. As our group was singing "The Longer I Serve Him, the Sweeter He Grows", all the residents began to cry and then we all began to cry with them. It reminded me that one day we will all be in Heaven with these sweet Saints, together with Jesus, and there will be no more tears and no more language barrier as we sing together and praise Him.

Another highlight was visiting the children at the Boarding School at Kirbaltaby Bay village.  To see the sadness on the faces of everyone there as we first came in and compare it to the smiles of joy and the love we felt when we left was indescribable.

If there was one downside to our trip, it must have been the realization of just how little we are doing, here in America, to reach the lost. The enthusiasm and boldness of the BMI staff to reach their people for Christ renewed the urgency of the times and opened my eyes as to what we need to be doing to win our lost loved ones and friends. I praise God for allowing me this opportunity to "go ye."
