{"id":2023,"date":"2010-05-26T00:25:21","date_gmt":"2010-05-26T06:25:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wnac.org\/twg\/?p=2023"},"modified":"2010-05-21T15:34:29","modified_gmt":"2010-05-21T21:34:29","slug":"cleave-to-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wnac.org\/twg\/?p=2023","title":{"rendered":"Cleave to God"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>\u201cDraw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you\u2026\u201d\u00a0 (James 4:8a).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We learned yesterday that having a successful relationship means giving all to make it work.\u00a0 To further emphasize yesterday and today\u2019s verses, our study writer lists the similarities of the two relationships we have been comparing in our Bible study.\u00a0 She states, \u201cAs in marriage, the glue of our spiritual union involves communication, commitment, faith, and giving 100%.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some of us may blush when we use the word \u201cintimacy.\u201d\u00a0 Search a dictionary and you&#8217;ll probably find this definition:\u201can association, knowledge, or understanding arising from close personal connection or familiar experience.\u201d\u00a0 Most of us have no problem understanding how that applies to marriage.\u00a0 But to have that deep personal connection with our Savior, we must spend time with Him.\u00a0 We must dialogue.\u00a0 This can only happen when we spend time each day in His Word and on our knees in prayer.\u00a0 Oh, that we would \u201cdraw nigh to God,\u201d knowing He\u2019s anxious to draw nigh to us.<\/p>\n<p>Sue Winchester<br \/>\nMissouri<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRAY TOGETHER: <\/strong>Pray for students graduating this month from the Gwen Hendrix Hispanic Bible Institute in Inman, SC.
