Can you hear the tinkling of the bells as he passes through the courtyard and behind the veil? \u00a0Can you strain your ears for the silence as he kneels for a while and prays? \u00a0The tiniest of sounds alerts you to where Aaron is and what he is doing. \u00a0The simplest of actions, attaching the little tinklers to the hem of the robe, remind you of Whose presence He is about to enter or has been in.<\/p>\n

And you? \u00a0I’ll guess there are no bells attached to the hem of your favorite jeans, your Sunday-best dress clothes or your uniform. \u00a0But do those around you notice something different when you’ve been in His presence?<\/p>\n

Is your patience extended to cover a range of infractions? \u00a0Do they hear it in your voice, see it in your expressions, feel it in your body language?<\/p>\n

Is there more love in your service? \u00a0Can they know you’ve been in the presence of the Lord by how you set down the dishes for dinner? \u00a0Vacuum the living room? \u00a0Fold the laundry?<\/p>\n

Are your conversations littered with references to Him? \u00a0Do they notice a different tone? \u00a0Jokes with milder content? \u00a0Do your words express hope instead of hopelessness?<\/p>\n

My friend, you may not have bells attached to the hem of your garment\u2014but know this: \u00a0Those around you know when you’ve been in the presence of our Lord.<\/p>\n
