{"id":2587,"date":"2010-12-31T00:37:00","date_gmt":"2010-12-31T06:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wnac.org\/twg\/?p=2587"},"modified":"2010-12-17T16:43:12","modified_gmt":"2010-12-17T22:43:12","slug":"shine-until-his-return-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wnac.org\/twg\/?p=2587","title":{"rendered":"Shine Until His Return"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>\u201cThat ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world\u201d (Philippians 2:15).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Another way we can be a beacon is to obey the call to holy living.\u00a0 We are in the world, but we should not be of the world.\u00a0 It is sad the world has crept into churches and among Christian people. Our lives should shine with distinct differences. We are called to be a \u201cpeculiar people.\u201d\u00a0 I liked the study writer\u2019s illustration of the lights on a ball field. \u201cThere are many lights on one pole, and each light is positioned to shine on a specific part of the field. If one light goes out, there will be a dark spot on the field.\u201d\u00a0 Envision the world as that field and Christians as that pole of lights.
