{"id":2896,"date":"2011-04-25T00:08:59","date_gmt":"2011-04-25T06:08:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wnac.org\/twg\/?p=2896"},"modified":"2011-03-30T15:15:28","modified_gmt":"2011-03-30T21:15:28","slug":"the-clouded-mirror","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wnac.org\/twg\/?p=2896","title":{"rendered":"The Clouded Mirror"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>\u201cFor now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known\u201d (1 Corinthians 13:12).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Our last April week of study is entitled, \u201cThe Prelude to Heaven.\u201d\u00a0 Our <em>TWG<\/em> writer states \u201cHeaven\u2019s promise changes the way we live today.&#8221;\u00a0 Some have referred to the Christian life as a state of \u201calready\/not yet.\u201d\u00a0 I found the following statements in <em>The NIV Study Bible<\/em> concerning today\u2019s verse:\u00a0 \u201cThe imagery is of a polished metal (probably bronze) mirror in which one could receive only an imperfect reflection in contrast to seeing the Lord directly and clearly in heaven.\u00a0 The Christian will know the Lord to the fullest extent possible for a finite being, similar to the way the Lord knows the Christian fully and infinitely.
