{"id":3253,"date":"2011-08-31T00:26:00","date_gmt":"2011-08-31T06:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wnac.org\/twg\/?p=3253"},"modified":"2011-09-05T06:50:24","modified_gmt":"2011-09-05T12:50:24","slug":"where-is-your-treasure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wnac.org\/twg\/?p=3253","title":{"rendered":"Where is Your Treasure?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>\u201cFor where your treasure is, there will your heart be also\u201d (Matthew 6:21).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Though this verse needs little explanation, these words from John MacArthur add insight: \u201cJesus goes on to point out that a person\u2019s cherished possessions and his deepest motives and desires are inseparable, for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.\u00a0 They will either both be earthly or both be heavenly.\u00a0 It is impossible to have one on earth and the other in heaven (James 4:4).\u00a0 As always, the heart must be right first.\u00a0 In fact, if the heart is right, everything else in life falls into its proper place. The person right with the Lord will be generous and happy in his giving to the Lord\u2019s work.
