{"id":424,"date":"2008-04-30T00:56:26","date_gmt":"2008-04-30T06:56:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wnac.org\/blog\/?p=424"},"modified":"2008-04-17T09:00:52","modified_gmt":"2008-04-17T15:00:52","slug":"gods-counsel-to-laodecia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wnac.org\/twg\/?p=424","title":{"rendered":"God&#8217;s Counsel to Laodecia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>&#8220;Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/em>(Revelation 3:17).<\/p>\n<p>Laodecia was one of the seven churches mentioned in the book of Revelation. God didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have too many favorable things to say about this \u00e2\u20ac\u0153lukewarm\u00e2\u20ac\u009d church. Sadly, we can see some similarities between Laodecia and many of today\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s churches. The Lord offers hope to what seems like a doomed situation. He gave counsel to Laodecia that is still appropriate today for churches and individuals. In Revelation 3:19, we find these words, <em>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; be zealous therefore and repent.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The last portion of that verse admonishes us to repent and rekindle the flame that once burned brightly within our soul.
