{"id":4369,"date":"2012-09-17T00:55:03","date_gmt":"2012-09-17T06:55:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wnac.org\/twg\/?p=4369"},"modified":"2012-09-12T10:01:30","modified_gmt":"2012-09-12T16:01:30","slug":"filthy-rags","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wnac.org\/twg\/?p=4369","title":{"rendered":"Filthy Rags"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cBut we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags&#8230;\u201d (Isaiah 64:6a)<\/p>\n<p>As we study about self-righteousness this week, we hope to learn of our need to remove\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cself\u201d from that phrase.\u00a0 As a child of God, our life no longer revolves around us. It is about loving God and others.<\/p>\n<p>Before we were saved, we might have thought we were pretty good. We may have even compared ourselves with others in the church. We didn\u2019t see inside our heart like God does..\u00a0 When a holy God flashed the light of His love in there, all He saw was the filth of our sins. As today&#8217;s verse states, He saw something resembling dirty and smelly old rags.<\/p>\n<p>When you stand before God, you won\u2019t want to be dressed in the rags of your own righteousness. Be able to exchange them for a white robe by coming to God while there is still time.
