\u201cNay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it. Why hast thou made me thus?” (Romans 9:20)<\/em>.<\/p>\n

This last week of our September Treasure<\/em> study deals with the word, \u201cesteem.\u201d\u00a0 After reading the writer\u2019s comments and reading the Scriptures, I now can look at low self-esteem and self-pity from a different perspective. I hadn\u2019t thought of them as connected with pride. However, I could see them tied in with those wrapped up in themselves.\u00a0 Yes, just in writing this last statement, it’s dawned on me: that\u2019s why they are associated with pride. Let\u2019s see what we can glean as learn and study together this week.<\/p>\n

We are often critical of ourselves, especially when we look in a full-length mirror. We wonder why God made us the way He did.\u00a0 However, we shouldn\u2019t criticize Him for doing so.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always thought of myself as kind of ordinary. However, someone wise once told me, \u201cYou are God\u2019s original. He fashioned you to look just the way you are.\u201d<\/p>\n

A few enhancements with hair and makeup do no harm. However, some people feel so down on themselves about their looks that they go to extremes. Don\u2019t sit and brood, wondering what went wrong when God created you. Think about today\u2019s verse and remember: in spite of any flaws you think you may have, God thinks you\u2019re beautiful just the way you are. After all, you are His creation.<\/p>\n
