{"id":4722,"date":"2013-01-25T00:08:24","date_gmt":"2013-01-25T06:08:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wnac.org\/twg\/?p=4722"},"modified":"2013-01-24T07:27:26","modified_gmt":"2013-01-24T13:27:26","slug":"god-revives-the-widows-son","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wnac.org\/twg\/?p=4722","title":{"rendered":"God Revives the Widow&#8217;s Son"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>\u201cAnd the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him and\u00a0 he revived\u201d\u00a0 (1 Kings 17:22).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As I began to write, I thought of the verse James 5:16b, \u2018\u2026The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man\u00a0 availeth much.\u201d\u00a0 Maybe the widow felt she couldn\u2019t even pray at that moment. However, it didn\u2019t stop Elijah from lifting up his voice in prayer.\u00a0 God heard his voice and revived the widow\u2019s son.\u00a0 This led to the testimony given by the widow in I Kings 17:24: \u201cAnd the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in thy mouth is truth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Next week we will be sharing from the story of Ruth and Naomi.
