“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.\u00a0 He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.\u00a0 When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it\u201d (John 8:44)<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Matthew Henry penned the following: \u201cHe (Satan) is the great promoter of falsehood of every kind. He is a liar, all his temptations are carried on by his calling evil good, and good evil, and promising freedom in sin. He is the author of all lies; whom liars resemble and obey, with whom all liars shall have their portion for ever. The special lusts of the devil are spiritual wickedness, the lusts of the mind, and corrupt reasonings, pride and envy, wrath and malice, enmity to good, and enticing others to evil.\u201d<\/p>\n

I would think if a person didn\u2019t believe in the truths of God\u2019s Word, he or she would be an easy target for the weapon of lies. We must battle back by spending time in God\u2019s Word and on our knees.\u00a0 I close with this thought on day 2 of our PreEaster Week of Prayer.<\/p>\n

\n<\/em><\/strong>Japan<\/strong><\/em>\u2014 Mirial Gainer has been working with Koinonia Free Will
\nBaptist Church to set up an outreach program called Kayou Friends
\nCaf\u00e9. People are invited to attend every Tuesday from 2:00 \u2013 5:00
\np.m. The church provides snacks, listening ears, and friendship. The
\nCaf\u00e9 sees numerous individuals who are not believers. Some come
\nbecause they want to learn more about Jesus. Others come and
\nread the Scripture papers, but will not take them home. Ask God to
\ntouch and change the hearts of those who visit the caf\u00e9. Also, ask
\nGod to send more individuals to attend the Caf\u00e9 and for the witness
\nof workers who have chosen this as their ministry.
\nSpain<\/strong><\/em> \u2014 Lea Edgmon and Kristi Johnson host activities for kids at
\nthe Outreach Center in Alpedrete. During \u201cEnglish Story Time\u201d they
\nact out children\u2019s books or use puppets to tell a story. \u201cEnglish Song
\nTime\u201d introduces children and their parents to classic children\u2019s
\nsongs. They also host \u201cEnglish, Please\u201d for older elementary children,
\ngiving children one-on-one help with English homework and
\ninvolving them in group activities. The team began these innovative
\noutreach activities seven years ago when the Center opened. Please
