Working Together
I Corinthians 15:58
“Therefore my beloved brethren be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that our labour is not in vain in the Lord.â€
Today my husband and I cut the hedge, raked and painted the trim on the shed. We worked together all day. We have always worked together. Whatever needs to be done, we do it together. We talk, we stop for a cool drink or we sometimes even change jobs. We have always tried to work in harmony because we know we will soon get the job done together.
The Lord has charged us to work together. He uses the word brethren—the plural of brother. He also wants us to be steadfast and unmovable in His work. Whether we work together as a family, a church, or in our WAC group, He is depending on us to accomplish His work. The Lord knows that working together is a good thing for His children.
