My Brother’s Mother
Luke 7:12a,b;13
“Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold there was a dead man carried out the only son of his mother, and she was a widow…, And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, weep not.â€
My brother, while in his late twenties, was in a car wreck that damaged his pancreas. Diabetes set in soon after and debilitated his body. When he became very ill my parents brought him to live with them. Mother took such good care of him—care that caused him to live a better life. This care extended for years, and mom was always there for him. She lost a sister, my dad and her mother in those years, yet continued in her duty to my brother. At 49 years young, my brother took his heavenly journey with his mother by his side.
