Only One God
2 Kings 18:27
“And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, cry aloud; for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.â€
There was a challenge between Elijah and the prophets of Baal. The prophets dressed their offering and called on the name of Baal from morning till noon with no results. At this point Elijah mocked them about their god.
Praise the Lord we do not serve a god who is on a journey, but a God who is with us every step of our journey. He is always with us and hears us when we call on His Holy Name. We serve the one and only true and living God.
