Manna
John 6:32, 33
“Then Jesus said unto them, verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven, but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down form heaven, and giveth life unto the world.â€
In the Old Testament, God provided manna to the Israelites as nourishment to keep them alive. In the New Testament, God provided Christ as the bread of life. The nation of Israel had a choice— eat the manna and live or not eat and die. Now we have a choice to accept Christ and live or refuse Him and die. Manna from heaven in two completely different forms from God. For physical life in the Old Testament and eternal life in the New Testament.
