THE PASTOR’S WIFE

HER WORK IN THE CHURCH
Proverbs 31: 31
“Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.”

The pastor’s wife is, most of the time, overworked but never under blessed. She may teach, work in WAC, go to conferences, cook for fellowships, prepare the bulletin, type sermons, drive the church van, take her turn in the nursery, direct plays, make costumes, play the piano or organ, organize children’s choir, keep the church in spiritual signage, visit the nursing home, write cards and letters, keep up with the homebound, keep the church abreast on news from missionaries near and far, and if it falls her lot, she may even clean the church. Every work is a hill to conquer and time wasted is time lost. Efficient and capable in the way she carries out these duties, she gives God the glory.

God bless the pastor’s wife for her work in the church.
