Day One: 2 Corinthians 11:26, 27
“In journeying often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.â€
Where are we going? We are on our way to heaven! Some arrive early and some in older years—all having faced some kind of peril along the way. The Apostle Paul faced many perils along his journey but it did not stop him from his journey. We should have the kind of resolve Paul had. Even though he encountered all kinds of perils and obstacles, he offered this encouragement.
1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.â€
