“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God; and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love” (I John 4:7-8).
I could have easily entitled this devotion “Love Your In-laws.” There’s at least one in every family—that person who is difficult to get along with. You must be willing to be kind and patient in spite of this. As you build your relationship as a couple, it will become easier to forbear with an unruly member of your extended family.
As a child of God, we are also part of an extended family. There may be those we won’t always agree with, but we must still show Christian love. It is that love that separates us from the world. Pray we can look at others through His eyes.
