Plan Ahead

Read Proverbs 6:6-11.

Part of being resourceful is the challenge of making a plan that will work for you.  There may be times you need to plan ahead.  Seek the advice of older family members.  Most would love it if you would borrow their ideas.  They have run a household longer, so they could give you some tested tips.

In today’s verses, we see the diligence of the ant who is wise enough to store food for the winter.  Most of us describe ourselves as either busy or lazy.  The latter often results in any plan we’ve made to fail.

In the parable of the ten virgins, five did not plan ahead.  They were foolish for not doing so.  They should have bought oil for their lamps.

With all the resources we have to prepare for Christ’s coming, why aren’t we using them?  Don’t wait until it’s too late.
