A Bride Adorned

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband”  (Revelation 21:2).

This is somewhat of a continuation of yesterday’s devotional. Symbols of all four parts of our wedding tradition are worn to enhance the beauty of the bride. With these adornings, she is finally ready to walk down the aisle to meet her groom.

We have learned from our study in relationship to the Bride of Christ, that we must put off the “old” sin nature,  put on His “new” nature, “borrow” wisdom from godly examples, and add a wisp of “blue” for faithfulness.  With these adornings and beauty enhancements, we, the Bride, look ready to meet our Bridegroom.
