“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.†(Psalm 23:4)
My mother is 80 years old and lives with us. She has visited “the valley of the shadow of death†with this last surgery. She was never afraid as she came so close to crossing this earthly shore into her home eternal, because the loving, ever near shepherd comforted her through this serious time. I learned so much from her through this. Christians do not have to fear death or its dark shadow hovering over us. Our Holy Shepherd will be there comforting us with his rod and staff.
