Say Nothing

“And Abigail came to Nabal; and, behold, he held a feast in his house, like the feast of a king; and Nabal’s heart was merry within him, for he was very drunken: wherefore she told him nothing, less or more, until the morning light”  (I Samuel 25:36).

As we return to our study of Abigail, we see another example of her godly wisdom.

Upon returning from what could have been a disaster, Abigail found Nabal doing what he did best—partying and becoming drunk.  Abigail had dreaded facing him. In wisdom she decided to wait until he was sober enough to hear her story.

Often times when the timing just isn’t right to share, say nothing.  It’s best to just wait and pray before proceeding.
