David’s Reaction

“And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the Lord, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal,  and hath kept his servant from evil: for the Lord hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head…”  (1 Samuel 25:39a).

When word got around to David concerning Nabal’s death, he wasn’t at all surprised.  He praised God for taking care of the situation.  It wasn’t that he relished the news, but he felt God’s will had been done.

We should never glory in the fact that someone got what was coming to them.  God sees the total picture and determines what is best.

Tomorrow we see how God rewarded Abigail for being a beautiful person inside and out. She would be given another opportunity to find marital bliss.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
