“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:3).
Our verse today contains another promise. He’s coming back. To borrow words from an old song, “Jesus will be what makes it Heaven for me.” He’s preparing a magnificent place for us in Heaven. As much as we are longing to see Him, He’s also looking forward to coming and taking us to live with Him. I can’t find the words to describe how that makes my heart feel. (I don’t know if there’s a word that combines humbling and exciting.)
Some have grown weary of the wait and wandered back into darkness. We must continue to let His light guide our steps. That Light one day will lead us safely Home.
