“This then is the message which we have heard of him and declare unto you that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).
John wrote what he heard and beheld of God. As an eyewitness, he could write with authority. He didn’t make anything up; his message is believable because he declared the truth.
That message has not changed; today we accept it by faith. We must also declare John’s message to those who still walk in darkness. God is still the light and He continues to shine through those who accept Him and His Word.
