The Faith of Moses

“By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season”  (Hebrews 11:24-25).

Shining in obedience will, at times, demand sacrifices and suffering. Most of us are familiar with the story of Moses. He could have lived in the lap of luxury as the son of Pharaoh’s’ daughter.  However, he refused that lifestyle. He loved the Lord and His people. He was willing to shine in obedience, even if it meant forsaking the so-called good life.  Moses centered his life on the eternal instead of the temporal.

Are we willing to choose whatever it takes to do God’s will?  Are we willing to shine with eternity in mind?
