“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be spoken of” (2 Peter 2:1-2).
Just as in the days of the apostles, false prophets and teachers will creep into our world and churches. Unless we know what we believe and take a stand, we will be drawn away to ultimate doom. Evil, deceiving people will come as “wolves in sheep’s clothing.” They will be very persuasive as they denounce the truths of God. In the face of scoffing and persecution, will you be able to shine in truth?
