Transformed to Do His Will

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world:  but  be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God”  (Romans 12:1-2).

Whether we are trying to discern our spiritual gift(s) or developing our gift(s),  we will find we must make some changes. Emptying ourselves of our will and leaving the world behind is inevitable.  When we think of all He has done for us, is that too much to ask?  His mercy and grace should prompt us to serve Him. He has given us so many blessings, and then He bestows upon us spiritual gifts. Can we sit idly by and not use our gifts? We’ll always be a work in progress, but, as we give ourselves in service to Him, we will be transformed into a vessel of honor.
