Unity in Spite of Differences

“Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all” (1 Corinthians 12:4-6).

One group of Bible scholars offer this reading of today’s Scripture: “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.  There are different kinds of services, but the same Lord.  There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.”*

In spite of all the different gifts, the church can achieve unity if each one uses their particular gift for the good of the body. Never think any one gift is more important than the other.  Each is necessary for the church to function properly.
