God’s Giving Is Abundant

“. . . I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10b).

If we are faithfully serving the Lord, we will clearly understand this verse. If we have transferred our trust over to God, our lives will be blessed. God wants what is best for us. Even when we feel we don’t deserve for God to give us more than what we ask or need, God wants us to be happy even in this old world. We pray and ask God to supply a certain need and then we seem amazed when He gives us more. Philippians 4:19 states, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” We have the promise of an abundant life through He who owns all the “riches in glory.” He is willing to give but do we have the faith needed to receive?
