A Door of Utterance

“Withal praying also for us that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds. That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak” (Colossians 4:3-4).

Today’s verses came as a prayer request from Paul. We should pray one for another that God would give us opportunities to share the gospel.  We, most likely, will not be in prison like Paul. However, we may find ourselves facing difficult situations that warrant us to ask for prayer. Paul found, through the power of prayer, he could use his bonds to be a witness and testimony for God.  We, too, can use our circumstances to be the same. We just need to pray knowing that, in spite of where we are and what we face, God will be with us. It is not a stretch for God to give us what we need to say and how to say it.
