“But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body” (1 Corinthians 12:18-20).
We understand the concept of one body, many parts from a physical standpoint. From a spiritual view, we understand how necessary it is for each of us to use our gifts. We each have a function in the whole body of believers. You know how it is when you are physically sick—your whole body seems to suffer. (Do you see where I’m headed with this?) When someone doesn’t use her gifts, ultimately the Body of Christ will suffer.
