Have Faith in the Father

“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them”  (Mark 11:22-24).

We have a heavenly Father Who loves us and will never abandon us. However, when times get tough, how strong is our belief in the Father?  Remember the account of Jesus walking on the water? Peter got out of the boat and wanted to walk out to meet Him. We fault Peter for taking his eyes off Jesus. However, are we any different?  We lose sight of Who our Father is, and we can’t seem to form a mustard seed of faith. We put limits on what God is willing and able to do for us because the void in our soul is a lack of faith.

If you pray according to His will, do you expect Him to say yes?” If not, then why?

Mark 9:23 serves as a good cross-reference to today’s verses. “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”
