Be Not Deceived

“Be not deceived: God is not mocked…” (Galatians 6:7a).

As we read over the account of the first sin on earth, we might think, how could Eve and Adam transgress against their Creator? The answer is the same today. They were deceived and thought God would overlook it. Adam and Eve were living in paradise and had beautiful fellowship with God. It only took their sin of disobedience to ruin everything.

When we yield to sin, we want to rationalize our wrong doing. As time goes by, and, we don’t repent, our perfect little world and our bond with Christ is ruined. Being a child of God doesn’t mean the devil will never bother us again. In fact, he will use every possible trick to deceive you to win you back. Ask God to help you keep your guard up and “be not deceived.”
