“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and has kept my word, and has not denied my name” (Revelation 3:7-8).
How encouraging to find a church that has remained faithful! One might think the remark about their strength was a criticism, but, that little strength was mingled with their faith. God gave them an “open door” that man could not shut. It was evident to those on the outside that this church obviously had favor with God. Praise God for churches who do not succumb to the Enemy.
