“But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand†(Isaiah 64:8).
Yesterday I wrote about Christ being the Potter. We must go to Him as the “clay.†He alone can use whatever means to make us into a vessel for His glory. Our vessel holds a priceless treasure so we should want it to be beautiful. We should want Him to mold and shape us because He is our Creator. He knows everything about us so He can work everything out for our good as He has promised in Romans 8:28. It doesn’t mean we’re going to like what He has to do but we know He has our best interests at heart.
