Another Blind Man Receives Healing

Read John 9: 1-34.
Some of us are familiar with the story of the healing of a blind man at the pool of Siloam.  This man was born blind.  Jesus was out doing the work of His Father. This man’s healing would bring His Father glory. Jesus made a simple clay and applied it to the blind man’s eyes.  He told him to go and wash in the pool of Siloam. The blind man obeyed, and he could now see.

The once blind man was brought to the Pharisees and questioned over and over again. His parents were even questioned. Why?  These religious leaders didn’t want to believe Jesus healed this man. And they were upset that He did this on the sabbath day. In the end, they cast out the blind man and chose not to accept his logical statement, “If this man were not of God, he could do nothing” (John 9:32).
