“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual†(I Corinthians 2:12-13).
Before we were saved, we lived by the world’s standards and man’s teachings. Once we became a new creature in Christ that was going to change. We were going to be entering into a relationship with One who would acquaint us with a whole new lifestyle. The world will never be able to discern “the things that are freely given to us of Godâ€. How wonderful that we’ve been adopted into the family of God and we now have Someone who will be living within us to enlighten us about spiritual things.
