“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth; for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak; and he will shew you things to come†(John 16:13).
As I mentioned in Monday’s devotion, the disciples were going through a difficult time of sadness and bewilderment. The last thing Jesus wanted was to leave them dazed and confused. At times, I’m sure the disciples didn’t know what to believe.
The Holy Spirit has the same attributes of God and Jesus. He may have had a different personality. but, He didn’t come to earth with His own agenda. He came to glorify God and to lead His followers in all truth.
We may not have our faith tested as severely as the disciples, but, when it is, that same Spirit will be there to guide us, as well, into all truth.
