“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope” (Romans 15:4).
The NIV reads this way: “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”
If I had not believed today’s verse, I never would have found John 14: 1-3. Let’s close this week and this study with the words of hope found in these three verses:
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

PRAY TOGETHER: Today is Black Friday when shoppers form long lines at store entrances in hopes of securing a special. Pray that believers would garner the same excitement and enthusiasm for entering the house of the Lord this coming Sunday in hopes of securing a blessing.
