Humble Yourself

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:” (1 Peter 5:6).

One of the most destructive things that can enter into even a Christian’s life is pride.
Peter admonishes us to humble ourselves. In doing so, we can be armed against pride.  If we are dependent on Him, He will be there to lift us with His mighty hand in our time of need. God is always on time, never early or late, so take God at His word. To try to work out problems in our own strength is asking for failure. Don’t  think of meekness as weakness.  Trust completely in the power of God and rest on His promises.
