“Let them praise thy great and terrible name, for it is holy†(Psalm 99:3).
In Bible times you often would see God’s name as “JEHOVAH.†It was a name of reverence. We should never say or do anything to profane the awesome and holy name of God, our Creator and Lord. He holds a name worthy of our highest praise. May we, even during our times of deepest despair, say as Job, “the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord†(Job 1:21b).
