“Then said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the reapers. Whose damsel is this? And the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab†(Ruth 2:5-6).

If I were to put Boaz’s reaction into some of our words, it might be similar to “Wow! Where have you been all my life?†From what I read about Ruth she was considered quite a beauty. However, she was not one of the local women so it was natural for Boaz to inquire about her. Tomorrow we will see how a very “smitten†Boaz begins to put his feelings into action. There would be no “pick up lines†or improper moves on Ruth. Boaz was very much in love! His actions were going to prove it.
