Repent of Your Sin

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit” (Psalm 51:10-13).

Psalm 51 displays a picture of true repentance. It is more than just telling God you sinned. It is truly being sorry for what you’ve done against God and turning from your sinful ways. If you study this Psalm you see the anguish and loneliness in David’s prayer of repentance. He was miserable outside of fellowship with God. He wanted it restored to feel the joy he once had.
