A Gift for Me
James 1:17a “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the father of lights,…â€
Recently my mother-in-law split her cabbage rose pink glass collection with my husband and his sister. Soon after his return home from her house we washed it all and put on a prepared shelf. One day he came home with something wrapped up in a brown paper sack. He handed it to me and said, “I bought you a giftâ€. I unwrapped the bag to find a beautiful pink glass bowl. My gift matched the other pink glass perfectly. He was surprised that I moved the other glass around to make room for the pink bowl. I let him know that his gift meant so much to me, and I would take special care of it.
We must receive each and every gift the Lord has for us in an attitude of gratefulness and treat His special gifts with exceptional care.
