Forgiveness

Matthew 6:14 “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”

Forgiveness is a positive attitude toward the offense instead of a negative response toward the offender. It is so hard to ask forgiveness, but it is necessary for our forgiveness. The account of Joseph forgiving his brothers is beautiful, and the passage of Jesus on the cross forgiving those who were responsible for His death is amazing. When we bow in humble prayer and ask Him to forgive us, this is true compassion. Throughout the Bible we find examples that will help us know how to forgive and how to ask for forgiveness. Let us forgive as Christ forgives us.
