“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world” (I John 2:16).
Today’s verse contains the three components of temptation. When these are present, they will lead to committing sin. Be on guard for these are not of God, but of an evil world. They were present in the original sin, and, that event impacted all mankind. Recognizing their danger, you won’t be so easily enticed of the devil. If you don’t, the devil will attack, and you won’t know what hit you.
