Psalm 139:23,24
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.â€
On the TV show “Cops,†when police officers apprehend someone they often search him. More times than not, the officers find drugs or some other illegal item. The offender is then taken to jail.
The Psalmist asked God to search his heart, mind and soul to see if he had some wickedness hidden within. This search is good because it takes us to repentance. God will forgive our sins and lead us into the life that will take us to heaven. “Search us, O God!
