“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
As we strive to love God and others, at times we are going to fail. However, we can turn to the One who never fails. The NIV Study Bible states, “God will provide the forgiveness that restores the communion with God that had been interrupted by sin.” God stands ready to turn His light back on when we confess our sins.
